Reviews of Teachers and Staff in Your Department
Currently I am in the education
department at Prairie View A & M University. Thus far, I have had the
pleasure of having wonderful Education Major focused teachers. For example, Dr.
Bliss, a reading professor, is one of the most caring teachers I have had in
reading. Dr. Bliss makes a person want to read, and participate in class. She has
different projects that help students focus on their educational concentration
(EC-6, 4-8, Generalist, and SPED). Another professor that I am currently
enjoying is Mrs. Wells, a reading professor at Prairie View A & M
University. She really connects the real world of teaching, so we gain more
knowledge prior to stepping into the real world (elementary school & middle
school environment).
Review of Courses Required by Major
As previously stated, my focus is
4-8, Generalist. The courses required by my major are an assortment of courses.
In order to be considered a generalist, one must be well rounded in every
subject possible: math, science, English, and History. Along with other courses
to maintain well roundness, my course load gives me a sample of every subject
I could possibly teach.
